Google Duo currently supports up to 32 participants on a single session while Meet offers support to 100 participants. This initiative from the company is driven towards making these video call services accessible to more devices and in turn more users. Users can now ask Google Assistant to make a group call via Meet or Duo.

To make a video call via Duo, smart display users need to create a group in the Duo mobile app. They can then proceed to the Nest Hub Max (or the other compatible devices section) and say, “Hey Google, make a group call”. After this, they can click on the Duo group they want to commence the video call session on, starting the session on their smart displays. To start a session via Meet, users can simply call out, “Hey Google, join a meeting” then click on Enter a Meeting Code and then type the meeting code into the space provided to join. These features come in handy for these devices at a time where more people are turning to the internet to host large gatherings and stay connected with friends, family and colleagues.   References
