The Redmi G has a mechanical looking design with 3D laser engraved moulds on the lid. The bezels around the top and sides are slim but have a thick bottom chin. Redmi G comes with Hurricane cooling 2.0 with dual fans and vents on both sides.

The notebook has a 720p webcam and two 2W speakers with DTS:X Ultra 3D Sound. For connectivity, the Redmi G includes 2×2 MIMO dual-antenna Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, Gigabit ethernet, a USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a mini DisplayPort 1.4 port, a full-size HDMI 2.0 port, a USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The notebook is powered by a 55Wh battery, which can last about 5.5 hours with lightweight tasks. The laptop supports multi-finger gestures on the touchpad and has a full-sized backlit keyboard with num pads. The Redmi G notebook has a 16.1-inch FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display that covers 100% sRGB colour range. The peak brightness is 300 nits, and the contrast ratio is 1000:1 along with DC dimming support. The screen to body ratio of the display is 81%, with a wide 178-degree viewing angle. For the graphics, it has Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti GPU. It comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Home.
Xiaomi Redmi G Pricing
All three variants have 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB storage. The base variant has an Intel Core i5-10200H CPU (60Hz display) and is priced at CNY 5,299 (about Rs 57,000), while the mid-tier variant comes with an Intel Core i5-10300H CPU (144Hz display) is priced at CNY 6,299 (about INR 68,000). The top-specced variant comes with a 10th generation Intel Core i7-10750H CPU (144Hz display) and is priced at CNY 6,999 (about INR 75,500). The pre-orders are already available for the Redmi G Gaming laptop, and it will go on sale from 18 August in China. However, there is no word if Xiaomi will bring it to India anytime soon.
