After a long day at work, or school you’re going to want to come home to a fresh bowl of popcorn, a cold glass of soda, and a horrifying movie to watch. Horror films are a great way to pass the time while sitting around at home, but why don’t you try playing CSGO Case Opening every now and again, especially since that can be scary since you don’t know what you’ll unbox!
1. Saw (2004)
Saw, being a low-budget film, shocked moviegoers in being really gruesome to watch. Two men waking up in a locked bathroom, held by chains. Apparently a suidcide victim lies between them, with a tape recorder in his pocket. They both slowly realize that they are prisoners of the Jigsaw Killer, who kidnaps people and places them in traps to test if they are truly wanting to live. If they survive the trap, they will be freed. Only passing the challenge will get you freed, although most realize it’s their fate.
2. Drag Me To Hell (2009)
Employed by a bank, Christine is eager to impress her boss and get a promotion, and denies an older woman an expansion on a loan. The old woman, being of Roma descent, places a curse on Christine. Christine is made to try and free herself before the enchantment banishes her to Hell. “Drag Me to Hell” set places in the movie that’ll have you cringing and wanting you to bite your nails. Any film with a goat talking will get my support, and the ending of “Drag Me to Hell” is absolutely perfect, you just have to experience yourself.
3. Final Destination (2000)
The movie is about a group of friends on holiday. Boarding a plane, one of them, Alex, gets a lucid premonition that the plane will explode into flames. He tries to warn people, and in the resulting fuss, he and his friends are dragged from the plane, missing the flight. The plane, as predicted, explodes but it’s not that easy for Alex and his friends. They’ve cheated death, and death isn’t so happy. They then try to escape their true fate of death.
4. Freddy vs. Jason (2003)
Freddy vs Jason, was released in 2003, as a slasher movie, directed by Ronny Yu. The movie comprised the two franchises “Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Friday the 13th”. The burnt-faced dream killer finds himself powerless in Hell, weakened since the residents of his old haunted, Springwood town, have forgotten about him. Applying the last bit of his powers, Freddy brings Jason back to life and sets him free. As the fear of the Springwood residents boosts, so does Freddy’s power. When Jason gets a bit too free with his machete, Freddy is forced to encounter him, leading to the biggest conflict in history.
5. Hostel (2005)
The movie “Hostel” tells the story of a group of careless American and Icelandic backpackers who, having just graduated, are on a trip across Europe. Pressured by the glamor of a Slovakian hostel. The trip should’ve been a holiday full of drink and casual sex ends with the group taken captive and tortured by a sociopathic institution.
6. The Mist (2007)
The Mist, is a film based on the Stephen King Novella which was written in 1980. Directed by Frank Darabont. The film has an all star cast consisting of Nathan Gamble, Thomas Jane, Andre Braugher and Toby Jones to name a few. Frank Darabont actually changed up the ending of the film to be darker than that of what Stephen King wrote. He also used unique monster designs in order to further differentiate some of the creatures that have been used in his past films. As with many of Stephen King’s films/books the plot is about members of a small town based in Maine where a devastating thunderstorm has caused the power to go out. Resulting in the townspeople meeting in a market to pick up supplies. All the while an unnatural mist surrounds Bridgton which hides a raft of different monsters all hellbent on murdering the townspeople.
