It is important to note that your smartphone, tablet, or other device, must support 4G LTE band 40 (2300). Check the pack or documentation. You can also search through MobilityArena to check the specs of the device you want to use on the Spectranet network to see if it is compatible. Once you are sure that your device is compatible, here are the configuration settings that you need to configure your device with to work on Spectranet’s 4G LTE network. July 2019 update: We were finally able to purchase a Spectranet SIM card and inserted it into a smartphone with LTE band 40(2300) support, but the SIM wouldn’t lock on to 4G and wouldn’t browse. We called Spectranet customer care and the rep at the other end told us that new Spectranet SIM cards will not work in a non-Spectranet device. Apparently, having a Spectranet SIM card, a compatible 3rd party device, and the correct Spectranet APN settings is not enough. Spectranet wants us to buy a mifi or modem from them first to activate the new SIM, after which we can use the card in any compatible 3rd party device. Bear this in mind before you dash off to buy a Spectranet SIM card. August 2019 Update: If you really want to save yourself the hassles that come with trying to use a Spectranet 4G SIM card in a 3rd party device, just embrace Huawei smartphones. Spectranet has a long-time romance with Huawei smartphones. We popped my Spectranet SIM into the Huawei P30 and in no time, it latched on to the network and I was using the service. Get yourself a Huawei smartphone that supports LTE band 40(2300), configure the Spectranet APN settings, and live happily ever after.
